Welcome to Central Florida Bible College. This manual explains how to use the college website as a student or applicant.
You do not need any special software. Everything works in a normal web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. If you can browse the internet and check email, you can use this site.
Pick the category of help you need below, or work through them in order if you are brand new.
For students and applicants
This manual takes you from your first visit through applying, paying, studying, and checking your grades.
Work through the categories in order if you are new, or jump straight to the one you need.
Getting started
Find your way around the site and get your account working.
Section 01

- 07
Portal
Your private page once you are signed in — records, grades, and enrollments.
Tip: Clicking the college crest in the top-left corner always brings you back to the home page.
Section 02
Your account and password
Your account is created for you when you submit the application — you do not need to register separately.
- 01
Your username is your email
Sign in with the same email address you used on the application.
- 02
Your temporary password is emailed to you
When your account is opened, the college emails you a unique temporary password. Keep that email until you have signed in.
- 03
Change the temporary password right away
After your first sign-in, open the portal settings and set a password only you know. This protects your grades and records.
- 04
Sign in from any page
Use the Sign in / Portal link in the top menu. Signing in on a new device is normal and safe.
- 05
Forgot your password?
Choose the password reset option on the sign-in page and follow the emailed link.
Tip: College email sometimes lands in spam or promotions. Mark it as “not spam” so future notices arrive in your inbox.
Section 03
Light mode, dark mode, and phones
The site can be read comfortably in any lighting and on any screen size.
- 01
Switch the theme
Use the settings toggle next to the portal link in the header to switch between light and dark mode. Your choice is remembered.
- 02
On a phone
All pages, videos, exams, and forms work on a phone. A larger screen is easier for long reading and exams.
Admissions and payments
Apply, pay the registration fee, and pay for your classes.
Section 04
Submitting your application
The application is one form, broken into short sections. You can take your time — answer honestly and completely.
- 01

Full legal name, mailing address, phone, and date of birth.
- 02

Your home church, pastor, and any ministry you currently serve in.
- 03

The highest level of schooling you have completed.
- 04

- 05
Review and submit
Read your answers once more, then press Submit.
- 06
Watch for the confirmation page
A confirmation page appears immediately with your application reference, and a copy is emailed to you. If you do not see that page, your application was not received — try again or call the office.
- 07
Wait for the decision
The Registrar reviews applications and emails you the decision. You can also check the status any time in your portal.
Tip: Prefer paper? A printable PDF version of the application is available on the Apply page.
Section 05
The $50 registration fee
The registration fee covers the office work of processing your application. It is separate from tuition and is not credited toward a class.
- 01
Pay from the fee page
After you apply, follow the link in your email (or the button on the confirmation page) to the secure checkout.
- 02
Pay with card or PayPal
A PayPal account is not required — any major debit or credit card works.
- 03
Look for the confirmation
When the payment succeeds you are returned to a confirmation page and a receipt is emailed to you.
- 04
Classes unlock after the fee
Course purchases become available once the registration fee is recorded, unless the Registrar has approved an exception for you.
Tip: If you paid but the site still shows the fee as due, sign out and back in. If it is still wrong, contact the office with your PayPal receipt number.
Section 06
Paying for a class
Tuition is $50.00 per class, paid securely online. Access opens only when the class is paid in full.
- 01
Open the course you want
From the Courses page, click the course, then choose Enroll or Pay tuition.
- 02
Enter a promo code if you were given one
Type it in before paying so the discount is applied. Only codes issued by the college are accepted — anything else is rejected.
- 03
Complete the checkout
Follow the prompts and do not close the window until you are returned to the college site.
- 04
Confirm access
When payment is complete the course unlocks and a receipt is emailed to you.
- 05
Partial payments
If only part of the $50 is received, the class stays locked. You and the office both receive a notice showing the balance still owed.
Tip: Your payment history is visible in your portal, so you can always see what you have paid for.
Coursework
Lessons, videos, exams, and the memory verse assignment.
Section 07
Working through a course
Each course page holds everything for that class: the syllabus, the student material packet, the lessons, and the exams.
- 01
Download the syllabus
It lists the memory verses, the four segments, the assignments, and how you are graded.
- 02
Download the material packet
One file containing the syllabus, the student workbook, and all examinations.
- 03
Work through the lessons in order
For each lesson: complete the reading, then watch the video, then take the exam. The next step unlocks as you finish the one before it.
- 04
Watch the video lessons
Press the Watch video button. Videos play in your browser; a stronger internet connection gives better quality.
- 05
Track your progress
The progress bar on the course page shows what you have completed and what is next.
Tip: If you are a returning student who already covered earlier material, ask the Registrar — they can waive the order for a specific course.
Section 08
Taking an exam
Exams include multiple choice, true/false, and Scripture memory fill-in-the-blank. Read the rules below before you begin.
- 01
You have one hour
A countdown timer appears at the top. Warnings show at five minutes and one minute, and the exam submits automatically when time runs out.
- 02
You get one attempt
Each exam may be taken once. Be ready before you start — do not open it to “look around”.
- 03
Stay on the page
Finish in one sitting on a stable connection. Your score is recorded automatically when you submit.
- 04
Need to retake it?
At the end of the exam use the Request exam retake button. The Registrar reviews the request and, if approved, reopens the exam for you.
Tip: Exams count for 80% of your grade and homework 20%, so keep your written work current.
Section 09
The memory verse assignment
Every course ends with a memory verse recitation. It appears as the last item on the course progress bar.
- 01
Press Start
On the course progress bar, click Start on the Memory Verse Recitation step to open the assignment page.
- 02
State your name and course
Begin by saying your name and the course you are in, then recite the memory verse.
- 03
Record in your browser
Use the recording box to record with your camera and microphone — you will see yourself on screen while recording. Recordings may be up to 2 GB.
- 04
Or upload a file
Use the upload box if you recorded on your phone or camera instead. Uploads may be up to 500 MB.
- 05
Submit
Press Submit. A gold checkmark and a confirmation message appear so you know it was sent.
- 06
See your grade
Faculty grade the recitation by hand. The score appears in your grade book beside the course.
Your records
Portal, grades, transcripts, and documents.
Section 10

- 05

Section 11
Documents, transcripts, and printing
PDFs open inside the site's own reader so they always display, even if your browser blocks normal PDF files.
- 01
View
Opens the document in a new tab where you can scroll and read it.
- 02
Download
Saves the file to your device — usually the Downloads folder, or the Files app on a phone.
- 03
Print
Open the document, then use your browser's print command. Choose “Save as PDF” to keep a digital copy.
- 04
Official transcripts
Transcripts are permanent records issued by the Registrar. Request one from the office; periodic progress is shown on your Academic Grade Report.
Tip: Word documents (.docx) open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or Pages.
Troubleshooting and help
What to try first, and how to reach a person.
Section 12
If something goes wrong
Most problems clear up with one of these steps, in this order.
- 01
Refresh the page
Reload the page before assuming something is broken.
- 02
Sign out and back in
This refreshes your access after a payment or a course assignment.
- 03
Check your email folders
Confirmations and receipts sometimes land in spam or promotions.
- 04
Try another browser
Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox are all supported; current versions work best.
- 05
Camera or microphone not working?
Your browser must be allowed to use them. Check the permission prompt or your device's privacy settings, then reload the assignment page.
- 06
Still stuck? Contact the office
Call or email with your name, the page you were on, and what happened.
Student Manual — Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to be on campus?
- No. Courses can be completed online. On-campus classes meet Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:00–9:30 pm, for students who prefer to attend in person.
- Can I use my phone for everything?
- Yes. The site, videos, exams, forms, and the memory verse recorder all work on a phone. A larger screen is easier for long reading and exams.
- Is the registration fee part of my tuition?
- No. The $50 registration fee pays for processing your application and is not credited toward a class. Tuition is charged per class.
- Why is my class still locked after I paid?
- Classes unlock only when the registration fee is recorded and the class is paid in full. Sign out and back in first; if it is still locked, contact the office with your receipt number.
- Can I retake an exam?
- Only with approval. Use the Request exam retake button at the end of the exam; the Registrar reviews every request.
- What if I already started classes elsewhere at CFBC?
